LOKI SEASON 2 TRAILER BREAKDOWN! Easter Eggs & Details You Missed!

In this blog, we’ll be breaking down the trailer for Loki Season 2. The show is set to return on October 6th, and it looks like we’ll be diving into the origin of the TVA in the Victorian era, as well as seeing Ms. Minutes in a ghost form scaring the people of 1893 Chicago.

Trailer Breakdown

The trailer opens with Loki and Mobius back in the TVA, visiting a character named Ob. Ob likely stands for Aura Boris, representing cyclic renewal. Ob works in the repairs and advancements department of the TVA, which is filled with pneumatic tubes for document transfer.Loki Season 2

We also see a clock on the wall, similar to the one seen in Loki Season 1. Ob’s uniform has three cog patches, possibly symbolizing his role as a repairman. It’s important to note that the Loki in the series is a variant from a branch timeline created in Avengers Endgame.

In Season 1, Loki and Sylvie defeat the beast Elias and meet He Who Remains, a variant of Kang the Conqueror. Sylvie chooses to kill He Who Remains, causing the sacred timeline to rupture into countless branches.

In the trailer, Loki is back in the TVA, running into Mobius and Hunter B15. The statues of the Timekeepers have been swapped with a statue of Kang, hinting at his true identity. Loki’s body stretches, resembling bubble gum, which may connect to the gumball machine in the TVA.

We see Loki experiencing “time slipping,” a phenomenon similar to the glitching seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the probability storm in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Ob is fascinated by this, as time slipping shouldn’t be possible in the TVA.Loki Season 2

Loki continues to time slip, ending up in a parking lot where he encounters an inflatable yellow figure. He then time slips back to the main chrono monitor observation deck, wearing his variant jacket from Season 1. The monitor shows the sacred timeline being crammed back into one timeline.

We see Sylvie standing in a vinyl record store, indicating that time slippage may be linked to Loki’s experiences. The posters in the store reference German synth pop band Camouflage and Liverpool band Space, suggesting the store exists sometime after 1993.

Action at the TVALoki Season 2

In this scene, Loki uses a pruning stick on a mural of the timekeepers to reveal the face of Kang underneath. He tries to convince Mobius and B15 that Kang, not the timekeepers, is in control of the TVA. They enter an elevator with a sign about temporal radiation, which may be related to the orange energy of the TVA. They then step into a world’s fair, wearing period costumes from a post-credit scene. This fair has connections to the comics and real-life events.

London Movie Premiere

Loki and Mobius attend a movie premiere for a film called “Zaniac.” In the comics, Zaniac was a demonic entity that possessed a host. Loki confronts the actor, Brad Wolf, in an alley using a new type of sorcery. Sylvie is seen working at a McDonald’s, wearing a retro uniform from the 1970s.

The Ruins of He Who Remains CitadelLoki Season 2

Sylvie visits the ruins of He Who Remains’ Citadel. His body is still sitting in the chair, and the sky is streaked with purple and blue lines as the sacred timeline is disrupted. Mobius suits up in a timey space suit and walks through chaotic temporal energy. The TVA’s prepared patch indicates they have dealt with a multiverse explosion before. Loki torments Brad Wolf using a device, possibly to remove the Zaniac entity. Sylvie and Loki discuss their god-like abilities.

Overall, the trailer hints at a thrilling and time-bending journey for Loki in Season 2.

Easter Eggs and Details in the Loki Season Two Trailer

Welcome back to Screen Crush! In this article, we’ll be breaking down the first trailer for Loki season two and highlighting all the easter eggs, references, and little details you might have missed. We’ll also discuss the significance of circles and loops in the show, as well as provide a quick recap of what happened in season one. Let’s dive in!

Loki Season 2

Circles and Loops in Loki

Throughout Loki season one, the character finds himself stuck in circular loops. This is represented by the recurrence of circles and loops in the show. Loki’s own evil impulses continually put him in the same situations, creating a never-ending cycle. This concept is also reminiscent of Norse mythology, where Loki’s actions ultimately lead to the end of the world and its subsequent rebirth.

Recap of Loki Season One

In season one, Loki and his variant Sylvie enter the void at the end of time after being pruned by the TVA. There, they defeat the time-eating beast Alioth and meet the Kang variant known as “He Who Remains” in the Citadel at the end of time. He explains the concept of the sacred timeline and the multiverse war that preceded it.

Loki Season 2

He Who Remains reveals that he used Alioth to prune trillions of realities and create the sacred timeline, which only allows a few realities to exist. Variants who veer off this predetermined path are arrested by the TVA and their realities are pruned. This explains why Loki finds himself in his current situation.

Sylvie wants to kill He Who Remains, viewing his actions as mass genocide, but Loki fears the consequences of leaving the timeline unchecked. They duel, with Sylvie ultimately killing He Who Remains. This leads to the sacred timeline devolving into madness and Loki realizing that time has been rewritten, as Mobius no longer recognizes him.

Introduction of Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
In the post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we meet another variant of Kang known as the “Conqueror.” This variant is likely destined to become He Who Remains in the future. It is revealed that the Kang variants now control the multiverse, leading to chaos and the breakdown of the sacred timeline.

Analysis of the Loki Season Two TrailerLoki Season 2

The trailer for Loki season two provides several interesting details. The opening shot features a circular doorway, symbolizing the mystery that Loki and the other characters are trying to unlock. The posters in the background reference the tent pads and pneumatic tubes used by the TVA for time travel.

After the sacred timeline exploded, we see changes in the TVA. The statue of Kang is present, indicating the influence of the Council of Kangs. The absence of posters about pruning the timeline suggests that the TVA has been rebuilt under a different architect. Additionally, Mobius’ name and attire reference infinity and time loops.

In the repair shop scene, Mobius takes Loki to fix his glitching. This glitching is similar to what we’ve seen in the Spiderverse movies. The character OB, played by Kihu Kwan, wears a jumpsuit with an oroboros symbol, representing the never-ending cycle of creation and destruction.

The trailer for Loki season two is filled with easter eggs and details that hint at the ongoing multiverse saga. Circles and loops play a significant role in the show, symbolizing the cyclical nature of Loki’s journey. The introduction of Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania further expands the narrative and sets the stage for the upcoming season. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
